DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE RFO IV-A TURNOVER CEREMONY OF MULTIPLIER FARM FOR GOAT PROJECT UNDER THE LEED PROGRAM

February 15, 2024 - The Department of Agriculture RFO IV-A headed by Regional Executive Director Engr. Marcos C. Aves, Sr. with their Livestock Program Coordinator Dr. Jerome G. Cuasay in partnership with Congresswoman Lianda B. Bolilia, Mayor Celsa B. Rivera, Vice Mayor Micko Angelo B. Rivera, and Sangguniang Bayan Members held the "Turnover Ceremony of the Multiplier Farm for Goat Project under the LEED Program" accompanied by the Distribution of BANCNET EMV CARDS to Rice Farmers under the RCEF-RFFA Program and Vegetable Seeds under the QRF-Paeng.

The Multiplier Farm for Goat Project aims to help farmers to strengthen the contribution of the livestock and increase the income of farmers. It would also make a sustainable source of animals of good genetics and restore the livestock livelihood of our farmers and aid the recovery of the sector.

First Quarter Blood Collection

The Municipality of Padre Garcia thru the Municipal Agriculture Office conducted its first Blood Clustering/Blood Collection in 17 Barangays of Padre Garcia, Batangas in line with the Bantay Asf Program "BABay ASF" Program of the Department of Agriculture.

As part of the Program 49 samples were collected from different smallhold and semi-commercial farms by the Community Based Animal Technician (CBAT) with the Veterinarians from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian that tested negative for African Swine Fever.
